Throughout his tenure in Memphis, Gay was a longtime Hoops for St. Off the court, Gay dedicates his time to his many philanthropic endeavors. In July 2017, he signed with the San Antonio Spurs. After being traded to Toronto, Gay was traded again to the Sacramento Kings and continued to be a dangerous scoring threat, averaging a career high 21.1 points per game in his first full season there. Gay was the eighth overall selection of the Houston Rockets in the 2006 NBA Draft, subsequently being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies Throughout his next six-and-a-half seasons with the team, Gay established himself as one of the NBA’s top small forwards. At season’s end, Gay declared for the 2006 NBA Draft. Gay contributed immediately as a freshman at Connecticut, and led the Huskies to a 30-3 record his sophomore season.
Gay committed to play at the University of Connecticut in November of 2013. Raised in Baltimore, MD, Gay attended Archbishop Spalding High School. Rudy Gay is an NBA basketball player with the San Antonio Spurs.
